WES LINK GOTHENBURG
Västlänken is currently being built in Gothenburg. A railway with three new stations for commuter and regional trains. It is solid work where the traffic authority benefits from Nitro Consult's experience regarding environmental impact and elaborate blast warning systems.

Västlänken is an eight kilometer long railway, of which six kilometers will go in a tunnel through both mountains and mud under central Gothenburg. It should contribute to creating space for more trains and promote travel in Western Sweden. It is an extensive project that started construction in 2018 and currently aims to be operational by 2030.
Before, during and after construction of the railway's stages, Nitro Consult has been hired to carry out inspection work and damage investigation of affected properties in the vicinity of the partial stage called Korsvägen, within the Västlänken project. A zero inspection was carried out by Nitro Consult already starting in 2014, and then pre-, mid- and post-inspections have been carried out continuously since 2017. The area, for which Nitro Consult is responsible for carrying out inspection work, includes nine urban areas of which approx. 600 properties.
In addition to the inspection work and damage inspection, Nitro Consult also provides and assists the Swedish Transport Administration with NCVIB's blast warning system to the public. NCVIB is Nitro Consult's self-developed web portal which, among other things, offers a function where residents in the immediate area can receive a message via phone or email before an explosive salvo goes off if desired.
