When an area is subjected to disruptions, questions arise as to how buildings and facilities might be affected. In order to check the impact of vibration-generating activities, surveys are normally carried out before and after such activities.
Nitro Consult has 40 years of experience within the field of surveys and inspections and has contributed to the development of the Swedish Standard SS 460 48 60 “Vibration and shock – Method for survey of buildings and constructions in conjunction with vibrating activities”.
During the initial survey (before the disruptive activity) a note is made of any defects in walls, floors, roofs and facades, with all such defects recorded in the survey report. This report is then used as the basis for the full survey (after the disruptive activity).
